    yes, post nasal drip can go to the chest. that is where colds settle. things to look for are fever, coughing up dark green/yellow all day. if you cough up first thing in morning that is normal. when phlegm sits in airway overnight, the air turns it green/yellow. as long as you are not coughing that color all day you are okay. get some over the counter mucinex. it is an expectorant to loosen things up. drink tons and tons of water. good luck and feel better
