Infected cerclages are not something to screw around with. Im terribly sorry but your doctors have given you the correct advice based on decades of research. It would be highly unlikely you would be able to carry this pregnancy to the point of viability without it dying from the infection or you becoming seriously ill (septic) and possibly risking your own life too. This is a very difficult situation to be faced with for any family, but the risks are far too great to continue with the pregnancy, Im sorry to say. They definitely cannot force you to choose termination (which at this point would not be an abortion, they would induce labor to deliver the baby, or, if an emergency to save your life, a c-section would be performed), and you have the right to get a second opinion, which I think you should do so that you have that peace of mind to know that it isnt just one weird doctor with some hairbrained theory on treatment.Im terribly sorry you are going through this. I care for women like you far too often, and its never easy. But you truly have to think of your living children and what would happen to them if they lost their mother, I think thats the important thing. While you intended this pregnancy to be your last, it doesnt have to be. You might change your mind and try again. I know that doesnt erase this pregnancy or minimize the loss, but the option is there. Best of luck with your decision, I hope you value your own health.

Can you take an antibiotic and cold medicine at the same infection and my antibiotic is time? I have a severe sinus keeping me from sleeping, so I was going to take some cold

  4. Patience says:

Because a cold is caused by a virus, not a bacteria. A bacterial infection you *cure* with antibiotics. A viral infection you simply treat the symptoms until the virus is killed off by the body.
