What STD was discovered in 1993?

Tags: , 7 Comments

I am unable to locate a sexually transmitted disease (STD) discovered in 1993. However, in 1992, PID or Pelvic Inflammatory Disease, was first recognized. In 1996, HPV or Human Papilloma Virus was recognized as the cause of 90% of all cervical cancers, and is the reason for yearly PAP smears. In the US, over 65 million people are currently living with an incurable STD. Any comments?
