Most women run a slight temperature when theyre on their period, so that could be the cause of the hot flashes youre feeling. As for the nausea, if your cramps are really bad it can cause you to feel sick to your stomach. Pain does that to many people! If youre bleeding really heavily it can make you feel pale, drained, and sick. If youre going through a tampon/pad in an hour or less you should go to the doctor b/c you may be losing too much blood. Otherwise, drink plenty of fluids and make sure youre getting your daily amount of iron, whether through food or a vitamin supplement. Heating pads will help a lot with the cramps, and also ibuprofen (Motrin, Advil). The ibuprofen will also help with the temperature/hot flashes.
