    What happens to you if you get rabies? I know what happens to your body but where do you go? Do you go to the hospital or what?

    rabies is more common among certain species.. but pretty much any mammal can be affected. Even if you want to argue and say that certain animals cant carry or pass it.. its such a serious disease.. why risk it??Certain species can carry it for years without being affected or having symptoms, such as raccoons and skunks… but they can pass it along.I remember when I lived in KY we heard a story on the news about a rabid horse!Rabies IS a big deal, and should not be taken lightly. Its a dangerous disease and is deadly if contracted. Even with prompt treatment, upon onset of syptoms, the survival rate is low (I think Ive only heard of one person surviving with treatment after symptoms have set in)
