What doctors are not allowed to prescribe narcotics?

Holistic/alternative medicine doctors, psychologists, & psychoanalysts can’t prescribe medications. Physician’s Assistants can only prescribe medications under supervision of a doctor. Any comments?

    In the State of FL Im told (according to what my mom told me) that dentists are limited to how much narcotics they can prescribe per month but when it comes to Medical doctors that isnt the case.One way you can find out is to check the site of the Florida Board of Medicine by going to: http://www.myflorida.com and then type Florida Medical Board in the Search box on the site.

    If your doctor doesn’t think you need them, then just follow his advice. Discuss your problems with him/her. We don’t see the whole clinical picture and won’t be able to give any sound or fair advice even if we were doctors.
