Will naproxen help a tooth ache?

Tags: , , 8 Comments

Naproxen should provide temporary relief for the pain associated with a toothache. A cold compress held up to the outside of the cheek may help, too. Any comments?

Depending on the reasoning you have had the facial swelling to begin with, it could just simply be getting worse or you could be having an adverse reaction to the medication. Naproxen is prescribed by Drs for inflammation aka swelling to reduce such issues. It doesnt however help with pain relief at all. I personally find it to be a useless drug…I think youd be much more comfortable using Ibuprofen, which has the same qualities as Naproxen (to reduce swelling) yet is a pain reliever as well. Hope this helps and good luck!
