    There are many medications that can cause the blood to thin. The most common is aspirin. Vitamin K will also cause thinning of the blood and is found in many foods.       In reply to Inger-The information in the link that you posted is incorrect.Vitamin K helps with blood clotting.It does NOT contribute to blood thinning,but a lack of it might.

    Ibuprofen (Advil) does thin the blood and should not be taken with oral blood thinners or anticoagulants such as Warfarin (Coumadin).
